So, log where Equius shows Tavros the finished track? Maybe he spent all night while the sea dwellers are in the water, laying down all the track he'd been building, so Tavros comes upstairs and it's all everwhere?

Yes, works for me! He comes up stairs to just, stacks of tracks he can set up and then searches for the train and finds it with Equius and just freaks.
