Moderator Change Announcement

Greetings Lost Realm,

All three of us are really excited to see the game growing and taking shape. We are proud of the amount of work we’ve put into starting up the game, and enthusiastic about seeing the game grow and flourish for a long time to come. Right now we have a slow but steady player base. We might be small, but we get regular apps, regular player plot initiative, and every post has had several active threads on it. In no way is the game suffering for lack of interest!

But unfortunately, all three moderators have realized that we’re not in a place, life-wise, to moderate the game with the attention that it deserves. Chel and Liz are in very demanding school programs this year, and Cnd is a lawyer. All of us are finding that our outside-of-the-internet lives are leaving us little time to focus our attention on the game, which demands not only regular maintenance and list updating but continual new ideas to help it grow.

As such, we are putting out a call to all of you, to see whether there is a group of players who are willing to take this on.

What you will get:
- A fully-developed game, complete with players!
- Passwords for the mod account, mod plurk account, NPC accounts with custom icons, and game email account so you don’t have to remake any of the posts
- Admin access to all of the communities
- Access to our entire gdoc library of developed material
- The freedom to take this game in whatever direction you wish, building on the foundation that we’ve established and taking ideas from where we intended to go
- Support from the previous moderators, most of whom will definitely be remaining as players in the game and will be around to ask questions of in whatever capacity is needed

We think that the game needs 2-3 dedicated moderators. Please email us at darstone.mods@gmail.com or PM this account to express your interest in taking on the game.

We hope that you will keep what we have done, as far as the quest system and the world background, and build on that-- however we won’t be offended in the least if there are things you want to improve, or if you choose to take the game in a different direction from what we envisioned. We did have set ideas and motivations when we made the game, and would be more than happy to explain any of the behind the scenes decisions we've made, but in handing off the game we would be truly handing it off to you completely.

If we don’t get at least two people who want to take on the game, then we don’t see any choice but to shut it down. Hopefully, that won’t be necessary. Please ask any questions you have below. In the meantime, we will be staying on to run the game as usual until a conclusion is come to, so don't let this interrupt your regular playing.
