This meme is taking place in the setting of Darstone, so while you may leave your comment blank, I'd like to recommend you set up a scene or two in your initial comment. Some suggested settings are provided below, but make up whatever you'd like based off the setting pages!

⑴ Marketplace. There's a lot to do in the market-- not just buying goods and window shopping, but sitting down for a cup of coffee at an outdoor table, or getting a drink at a bar.

⑵ Housing. You've just gotten here and finally made it to your assigned apartment, but it turns out you have roommates, and they're one of them.

⑶ Adventuring. Whether out into the surrounding caves or taking a boat onto the lake, you're adventuring, maybe on a quest. Whoever's with you might be a member of your party-- or they might be trying to beat you to the reward.

⑷ Snow. What's snow doing in a cave? Isn't this weird? Well, Darstone is situated under a frosty mountain peak, and from time to time the local mages like to simulate the weather that's going on up above. That means there's some very light, fluffy snow falling from the cave ceiling right now.

[He looks to the side briefly to indicate the market surrounding them.]

It seemed reasonable enough to gather some information about this place. Also... [And he glances down a bit at that.] ...it's nice to see a fully functioning city again.

Hm? What do you mean?

[Her reply makes him look back at her, a bit confused at first, until he realizes what he just said and that he didn't really meant to say it aloud. Quickly, he turns around to hide the slight flush of his face, pretending to observe the happenings on the market. Germany coughs.]

I- I mean... Just look around. This place manages very well and if we just look close enough we may be able to find something helpful to get back! It's very lively here. A lot of people going about their business and a lot of information being exchanged.

[Germany misses that. Most of his cities have suffered severe damage during the past few years, causing his people plenty of hardships just to make it through the days. He just wants his people to be able to go about their daily lives again without fear or worries. Every nation wants that. But those are things he can't word openly. Admitting such weaknesses can turn out to be disastrous, even if this is Hungary who may not be using such information against him, but... She might worry.]

[what is wrong with worrying]

Oh, I suppose that's true. I guess it'd be best to keep our eyes and ears open. [she smiles]

[Everything. He can't be a good nation if others have to worry about him.

Germany remains silent. There's nothing to add to that, they are in agreement. But Hungary is a reasonable person, so that is to be expected. If they work together, their chances to find a solution will only increase. But they need information first. Something to work with...]

[she waits for him to respond... but since he doesn't perhaps they should change the subject]

Can I come shopping with you? [even if he says no, she'll probably just tag along anyway. from a distance.]

[Germany looks at her for a moment, but then nods while also shrugging a little at the same time.]

Sure. If you wish to.

[yay! she takes his arm without asking. Hungary is really happy to have other people she knows here, so don't mind her being friendly]

[He jumps a little at that and then turns his head to just... Well. Stare at her with some good disbelief way too obvious on his face.]

Wha- what...?!

[Darn, he should be used to that by now. It's not like he hasn't known Hungary for a while now.]

[you let Italy and Prussia touch you, but not a girl? she just smiles anyway INNOCENTLY]

[Well. Girls are... They're girls! They're all kinds of difficult. Especially once they get closer to being women. The only reason he's still breathing is because he already knows you...]

D-danke. [He relaxes somewhat. Though it still strikes him as odd how Hungary can be this cheerful. From what he knew, she just had been forced to surrender after all. Or is it just this place that lifts her mood so much? Luckily she hadn't become his enemy as well. The thought alone was terrifying.] How... how have you been doing, if I may ask?

It's been strange, for sure. There are a lot of nice things about this place, but I can't help but worrying about back home.
