Okay. So. Now that the holidays are over: Yakisha. Choose-Your-Own-Adventure Plot.

I'm guessing right now the best bet is to try to get Yakisha from being voted as the permanent Speaker instead of the interim. Which would be really easy considering England has some proof of her corruption. I have no idea how to insert Kyonko into anything at this point just due to how long I've been gone, but what is everyone up to? Does anyone have any ideas on where to go from here?

Actually, I have a bit of an idea for Kyonko that came to mind while thinking this up. She would have gotten information about the Sorcerer's Guild getting data from the Tinkerbell-balls chasing everyone around and would probably look into it if for no other reason besides her own peace of mind. If no one minds a log backdated to before Haruki got released from prison, does anyone want to thread out going to the Guild to look into it with me later on today or tomorrow?

And, again, post your guys's ideas and what you'd like to do with the plot. It's slow going right now, so people can easily jump in at this point and there's lots of information in the Google Doc we can use to bounce ideas off one another.

Mod chime in to offer that A'aladash and the Dohcs are both really open for assisting in this (like, those were the two I've been considering doing an open NPC log involving) but if you want to have your characters get involved in any, and I mean any way, we're willing to plot it out with you (make up personalities for other NPCs in the docs, tell you what certain methods of trickery or protest would do, etc)

So yeah, sky's the limit.

I'm still reading through it and refreshing on the game info in general. Hopefully we'll get a few more bites once people come back from their festive hangovers.

Also as a personal note, I'd suggest not making it too backdated if you do. The information about the guild could have gotten late to Kyonko despite her doing the test forever ago, because the others did it later.

Honestly the backdating is more for an excuse to do it with someone besides Haruki, hence it only being backdated to before he got out of jail. I like Haruki and all, but man the majority of her threads are with him. So it's more backdated to, like, a day or two before he got out of jail.

That works. I just didn't want to make it awkward on other people to be too far back.

Duh, I know better than that. 8P

Anyway. I have stuff to do now that I've checked my messages. I shall get on top of this when I get home later.

Okay, so, for current-dated stuff. I can have Kyonko talk to the Dohcs since I think Mr. Devereaux and Darla would have an interest in that, if not be business partners in some capacity. Let's see.... Someone else could look into exposing Yakisha's corruption? As well as the absences of those two council members whose names I don't know off the top of my head.

On a side note: Kyonko is going to give Haruki something for Christmas. Possibly give it to him on New Years since she forgot in the rush. I just have no idea what.

Well there was a "recovering from evacuation" going on during the time the vote took place. But yes -- all of these are solid, and I was considering putting up a more open NPCy thing to make the younger Dohc open (and A'aladash) for anyone to hit up, but... if you've got ideas to pursue something, that'd be cool.

And rofl excellent. Given the lack of snow and that Darstone doesn't celebrate christmas, I bet Haruki just forgot.

Open NPCy thing might be the perfect place to do this. I'm just coming up with excuses for why Kyonko would talk to him and I figure since, hey, she's the gofer as the newest person at the Mudcap she'd be the one being sent off one errands and such.

Kyonko's having a hard time forgetting considering Disappearance. It might be touchy but if he asks her why she got him a present the specific reason is to thank him for staying with her in the hospital.

He wouldn't be able to participate in that backdated log, but Dirk is interested in finding stuff out! Or, as he puts it, committing domestic terrorism.

Honestly, I'm willing to either screw with time or claim she couldn't reach Haruki for whatever reason if you're up for it. I've got errands to run, but we can talk more later on about this.

Chandra is Haruki's roommate and also a somewhat-professional thief. I think she would be perfect for sneaking in and looking into stuff for more information.

Then we can handwave her talking to Chandra about it and just go to them sneaking in for info? Or Chandra can sneak in to find things while Kyonko tries to talk directly to them? Whatever works for you.

Let's have them sneak in together, I think Chandra would need help with getting the right information once they're inside.

Plus there's a good chance they'll be caught considering the lights are tracking their movements and they're going into the place where that info is going. It'll be fun.
