This meme is taking place in the setting of Darstone, so while you may leave your comment blank, I'd like to recommend you set up a scene or two in your initial comment. Some suggested settings are provided below, but make up whatever you'd like based off the setting pages! ⑴ Job Hunting. If you don't want to stay in the assigned housing, then you're going to need cash, and if you want cash, you're going to need a job- lucky for you there seem to be plenty of those on the job board. ⑵ Arriving/Housing. You've just gotten here and finally made it to your assigned apartment, but it turns out you have roommates, and they're one of them. ⑶ Adventuring. Whether out into the surrounding caves or taking a boat onto the lake, you're adventuring, maybe on a quest. Whoever's with you might be a member of your party-- or they might be trying to beat you to the reward.

If our cooking project doesn't work? [He glance at the oven when he thought he heard something pop.]

...Joshua said all human beings dream. All of us have nightmares, too. Even if the people here don't... look the same, they probably have dreams and nightmares just like we do.

We just have to find out how to get them, since they don't have a form in this world.

[And hopefully not have to resort to more baking.]

And even then, we can't make them have nightmares... unless we start hosting scary movie night at one of our place every week...

[Sora perked a bit at that idea and looked to Riku with an expecting look to see if he'd agree.]

Hey, it does not! [Not anymore any way. Sora added silently and folding his arms stubbornly.]

Scary story gatherings then! [Only he wasn't a fan of reading. He'd just leave that part to Riku!]

[Sora's smile brightened when he realized that wasn't a 'No'!]

Think it's been long enough? [He said as he walked over to the oven and took a peek only to be greeted by a mug with a big purple bubble forming on top.]

Uh... [The bubble trembled, looking ready to burst, so Sora quickly slammed the oven door shut.]

[Slow...blink.]

What happened?

[Sora tried turning off the oven, but the door was starting to rumble. No time to talk, Sora was already pulling Riku down behind the kitchen counter.

BOOM!]

REFLECT!

[Sora shouted and covered them in a protective circle as bits of hot cake splattered all around them and the kitchen.

Sora slow opened his eyes when the magic shield started to flicker away and the noise died down. As he looked around at the mess that once was the kitchen, he made a mental note. Esuna spells and cooking do not mix.]

Sora--! [is yanked Riku stares, eyes wide and looking at the bits of cake splattered on the walls and counter.]

Why is it purple? [Then he became aware of their Dream Eaters eagerly licking purple cake from the floor, making tiny sounds of delight.]

Um...

[Sora looked away and smiled when Meow wow perked up and started licking up the cake.]

Hey, looks like they like it!

...Why do I bother. [Huffs and smiles, gently scratching the bat-like Dream Eater's fur. It's good that they seemed happy enough to eat the mess, but they couldn't really blow up the kitchen three times a day... ]

There's gotta be an easier way.

Aw, come on. It wasn't too bad for a first try! Maybe when we try again in my kitchen... we'll have less explosions.

[Sora said optimistically and laughed when the Spirit licked his shoe a bit, trying to get some chocolate by his foot.]

I'll just... take your advice about not magicking the food.

I don't think it's the kitchen that's the problem.

[He finds a couple of rags to wipe with and hands one to Sora.] Here; let's see if there's anything left in the oven.

Exactly, it's the lack of practice!

[Sora insist then glanced at the rag Riku handed him.]

Why are we cleaning? They seem pretty happy to take care of it for us.

[He snickered but started to wipe off the bit of the counter that the Spirit wasn't already nibbling on.]

Any survivors?

[Sora tilted his head and glanced at the oven.]

Doesn't look it. [Riku carefully takes the tray of mugs out-- the oven was painted purple cake inside out, sludge dripping off the roof slowly. He tips a mug slightly to check the contents, but less than a fourth of the mixture remains inside.]

...Guess we'll put mugs on your next grocery list. [Sora tilted his head a little at the burnt up mugs.]

Heh, don't worry. You can borrow mine until we get you new ones. [He ruffled Riku's hair, once again trying to take advantage of his new lack of height.]

Cut it out! [Stop trying to max his affection, bub. Riku twists, putting Sora into a headlock.] Don't forget, I'm still older than you.

Age means nothing! Welcome to the world of little guys, you giant!

[Sora laughed and picked up a hand full of warm cake splatter, before he pressed it into what little of Riku's face he could reach.]
