Test Drive Meme v.2
![]() |
Comment here with your characters that you're thinking of bringing into LR, and tag around with other people to see how suitable they'd be for the game! This meme is taking place in the setting of Darstone, so while you may leave your comment blank, I'd like to recommend you set up a scene or two in your initial comment. Some suggested settings are provided below, but make up whatever you'd like based off the setting pages! ⑴ Job Hunting. If you don't want to stay in the assigned housing, then you're going to need cash, and if you want cash, you're going to need a job- lucky for you there seem to be plenty of those on the job board. ⑵ Arriving/Housing. You've just gotten here and finally made it to your assigned apartment, but it turns out you have roommates, and they're one of them. ⑶ Adventuring. Whether out into the surrounding caves or taking a boat onto the lake, you're adventuring, maybe on a quest. Whoever's with you might be a member of your party-- or they might be trying to beat you to the reward. |

Re: [Test] Candy Doesn't Grow on Trees | Adventures Feeding DreamEaters
I don't know. I've only seen my mom bake a few times.
[Sora straightened up and folded his arms as he thought in silence for a bit. Meow wow started whining softly rolled by his feet making Sora smile gently before reaching down to scratch the Spirit's tummy.]
Well milk is just a liquid. Can't we use water?
Re: [Test] Candy Doesn't Grow on Trees | Adventures Feeding DreamEaters
[Riku does a quick check on the list.] See any sugar?
Re: [Test] Candy Doesn't Grow on Trees | Adventures Feeding DreamEaters
[Sora teased and reached out to ruffle Riku's head, still finding it amusing that the boy was the same height as him in this world and relished any opportunity he was given to rub that fact in.]
Let me see that recipe. Mom always made this cake in 10 minutes. It can't be that hard.
[He plucked the paper out of Riku's hand and started to read the old recipe Sora had jotted down from memory.]
Well these measurements are just a guess. I don't think it needed that much milk. We can replace that with water or potion! They are supposed to be magic cakes after all.
[He waved off that concern and grinned at the bat Spirit floating behind Riku.]
And oil can replace the butter!
[He picked up a bottle of olive oil and held it up for Riku to see.]
See? This'll be easy!

We were just going to move on to plan B. [Cookies didn't sound too bad-- and it was flat. That was easier, right?]
no subject
[A soft trill caught his attention before Sora could answer, Komory Bat landing on top of his head, too exhausted to keep flying. They were definitely running low on time.] Alright. How hard can it be?
no subject
Um, okay, I think that's everything!
[He just hoped he stayed in his budget. He never was any good at math and it was weird having to actually think about his money and where it was coming from. He never had to actually live on a world he visited and the only time he ever needed to save any money was just so he could blow it all on some new spell or gadget the moogles made.]
no subject
Done, he meets back up with Sora, carefully replacing Komory Bat on top of their purchases in the basket.] Time to go.
[He hefts the basket in one hand and turns towards the bridges.]
no subject
Alright! Hang in there pal, we'll get you some food in no time.
[He knelt down and wrapped his arms around the sleepy looking spirit, then lifted it up to carry him home.]

After helping both their Dream Eaters onto a large, plush cushion on the kitchen floor to recuperate, Riku reaches for the recipe and leans against the counter.] So we just mix everything together and put it in the oven? Sounds simple.
[Almost too simple. But he can do simple. He pours a little flour into the bowl, checks the recipe, then adds a little more.]
no subject
Course it is!
[Sora said around a mouthful of chocolate chips he had helped himself to while Riku set up the kitchen.]
no subject
Should've known better than to leave these with you.
1/2
What? I only took a little. Think of it as flavor testing!
2/2
Here, I think mom would melt the chocolate with the butter... so if we're using oil instead...
[He ended the sentence by nudging the cup of oil towards Riku.]
no subject
Catch.
Then you can break those in while I figure out your recipe.
1/2
[Sora jumped and fumbled to catch the eggs.]
It's just melting chocolate. Can't be too hard.
2/2
Hey, think if we melted it with a fire spell it'd add magic to the cakes?
no subject
[Riku pours oil in a pan and breaks several pieces of the strange chocolate into it, watching it float dubiously. But wouldn't this just make fried chocolate chips? Was that even possible?]
no subject
[Sora gave the mixture they were forming a thoughtful look.]
Hey, Riku...? Have you ever tried one?
lol spoilers
[He shifts, uneasy. It's true that he... somehow turned himself into a Dream Eater, if what Ansem said was true, but he's... never really thought about eating the snacks...]
no subject
[He gave Riku a disbelieving look.]
no subject
Don't worry, the spoon's all yours once we're through. [Which is of course the signal for the oil to suddenly pop and crackle, splattering them both with droplets and sizzling away as the edges of the chocolate melted and blackened.] Whoa!
[He reaches for the dial and quickly turns it off.]
no subject
Heh, think I'll pass.
no subject
[Still, he definitely echoed the sentiment. He scraped the chocolate out of the pan with a wince.] Alright, forget melting it.
[He pours another handful of chocolate chunks into the mixture that was forming in the bowl, starting to mix it.] Are we missing anything else?
no subject
Sugar? Maybe that can save it... or I can try a cure spell.
[He said jokingly..., but was seriously considering it.]
